The story follows a benched football player named Shane. He is only 21 years old, lives in East End with his mother and grandfather. Shane is of half Indian and half Irish descent. Playing football is all he knows, and he’s doing his best to make it, so he can provide for his family. Shane’s dad left them at an early age, his mom is an alcoholic and he is sick and tired of living in poverty, in the East End of London. He struggles with depression and lacks purpose in life after he gets suspended from playing football, for hurting a rival player during a game. The player ends up killing himself and that puts a lot of things in motion for Shane. In desperation, he decides to leave the country and go to Brazil seemingly on a holiday.
What starts as a harmless fun turns into an exciting, dangerous, and highly illegal trip around the world.

From Brazil to Australia and its seedy drug fueled underworld. Then onto India in search of his father’s roots. This is a real page turner, with many shocks along the way.

As Shane battles the worlds seedy underworld figures around the world and his own drug issues, he meets an accomplice, a lady of much older age to him, who both form an intimate love fueled relationship. She helps Shane with all his shady business & illegal money-making ways. An almost Bonnie and Clyde relationship, though Shane is a toyboy in this relationship.

Combining life’s struggles with travel, drugs, love and hate, this will have you gripped from the very beginning, whilst taking you around the world getting a real feel for the locations that Shane ends up in.
