An alien device falls to Earth, where it clones an ancient Angle warlord and his daughter, setting off a chain of events its creators never intended. A young girl awakens in a Chicago alley with no memory of how she got there or even who she is, but a growing realization she has special abilities. Scientists around the world disappear, while governments search for them in vain. Two boys in a small Colorado town stumble into a high-stakes battle between virtual beings and soon find themselves fighting for their lives. In the end, the heroes will need all of their combined courage and intelligence just to survive.
