The subject matter of a haiku traditionally lies within nature, often capturing specific moments. This is not something I’ve completely adhered to in this book, I believe poetry not only is subjective but is also about adding your own spin to the accepted norm, as such my subjects vary.
There’s death, life, love and loss as well as a few more… traditional ones. These haiku’s are very personal to me and have been written over a long period of time when I’ve been going through very different phases in my life.
They’ve helped me express myself and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I’ve enjoyed writing them.
