Two perfect strangers who lives are going awry meet fatefully at a L.A. area bar. Glory is a mysterious and beautiful young woman who is tough as nails and passing through Southern California in search of her estranged father following the sudden death of her mother. But the true reasons for the woman?s travels to the City of Angels is much darker and much more tragic than she lets on.
Sylvester Coolidge is a witty and cynical blue collar young man addicted to heroin. His drug use stems from a tumultuous childhood following a horrific car accident that propels the him down an angst laden path. The twenty-something has recently been fired from his dead end job and left wondering what turn his life is going to take next. When he goes into work to pick up his last paycheck he is told by Sara, a secretary and fellow addict, that after a visit to a clinic she has contracted AIDS. This news is more than troubling for Sly because the two have shared needles on occasion. With what he feels is a death sentence and not very much to lose, he and Glory, set out to escape to a better life south of the border. To do this the dangerous and formidable duo must get to Waco, Texas by car in a few days to board a small Cessna plane that will whisk them away to what they see as freedom. During their hectic trek the two acquire a nest egg by way of robbery as they stickup small liquors stores along the way. With the police hot in pursuit Glory?s past becomes clearer adding the F.B.I to the list of people who want to get their hands on the pair of outlaws who are gaining fame for their brazen heists. As Sly and Glory?s fate unfolds, they cross paths with an assortment of colorful characters that effect their journey and at times their mental state, forcing the pair of likable but hard-luck youths to grow closer until their final heist neither of them may survive.
