A simplistic life form on the plant Diatom have their existence shattered when their planet explodes and casts them into the universe.
Their evolutionary adaptations stand them in good stead and after millennia in outer space they land on earth.
John Marsden, an eye surgeon’s son and Henry Williams, a farmer’s son find them in 1938 with a catastrophic effect that takes a few years to materialise.
