Amazon Smile thing?

    Anyone else seen this? Keep being asked to buy through Amazon Smile to support charities, but it kinda feels loike United Way? We donate the funds, Amazon takes the credit kinda thing. Am I cynical or what?

    Very. I think it is a lovely way for Amazon to support charities. It places the donation up front, and I don't believe they charge the customers anything for it. I thought it came out of their profits on each sale.

    I don't think they charge extra. I've signed up to support Guide Dogs, and I haven't seen any extra bills.

    Amazon have started prompting us to join Smile whenever we download an ebook. While the vast majority of what we download is free anyway, do you think Bookangel should support a charity through our official account? If so which one?
