I noticed there seem to be a lot of cozy mysteries on the indie books, and lots coming through bookangel, but the last time I went to a bookshop I couldn't find any:(! Why aren't there more mainstream ones? There are hundreds of series online and it's daft the publishers aren't selling them!

Apparently, offline publishers do not yet gauge the potential sell-ability of work through online popularity. They should, because it is a growing venue for writers.

The publishers are all looking for that next Blockbuster and trying to tell the market what it wants instead of listening see what the people want.

Don't worry, it will come around as a fad sooner or later.

I do enjoy my cozy mysteries and while it would be nice to see them in a store, I like storing lots of them.

There are plenty of them that work as time fillers for an hour or so and it works nicely being able to dip in and out of them. It's a genre that works better digitally for me.

This reminds me of the old paperbacks in our stock room, mostly Agatha Christie. I guess I have to rummage those old books fir rereading. It would be great to share those stories with the younger generation. Cozy mysteries huh. I call them simply mysteries... and suspense.
