Fan writers as good as the original...

Fanfic's a big thing and Kindle Worlds made it a financial one. The "90% of everything is rubbish" rule does apply, but every now and then there are also fanfic writers, ficcers (really?), who are better than the original. Others are up to standard and doing things with the worlds that the original author never would. I've been getting my Discworld fix from A.A. Pessimal's Assassin's series on Ff, because it is very much in Pratchet's vein with the writer's military experience coming into play which makes it distinct from the original series. What great fanfic writers do you follow?

 

Estee on fimfic. Don't laugh but yes, she writes about pretty ponies. It's just kinda more real world and things don't go so great for them.

 

I'm so glad there's another fimfic reader on here. Just never call me a pegasister. I liked rhjunior before they kicked him off, even though I hate his politics I have to admit the man can write.
