Right, it is now wired in so all new subscriptions will get the "By Genre" email. If users have not picked a genre they will get a list in the original Free Ebooks format. To get the full detailed breakdown, you need to pick a genre. This saves processing on the server for users who aren't after a custom list.

The only concern now is the processing time to generate all the emails, and there are a few tweaks to be made before we can move the full subscriber list onto this system, since its better to do the tuning without 10,000 users in the system. For the moment existing subscribers are still served by Aweber, but all the emails should be moved off that by the end of the month.

Next upgrade done. The reviews index is back up and working with pagination. Please view and give feedback here:
    Review Index : Bookangel.co.uk

(No, it doesn't look identical to the main archive, and it's not going to as it handles pagination differently.)

    Next task: search pagination

Basic pagination - next and previous - is working. Wiring in the 1-50 50-100, buttons etc, is the next upgrade.

Looks great - loads of reviews that loaded really fast.

Is that all of them on one page, have you considered pagination for them?

The pagination is working. If you look at the bottom of the page below the reviews, there's a next and previous button if there's more than one page of reviews. The search result pagination is even better, but apparently it can't work the same way for the reviews index.

    tirial, we owe you one.

    You owe me lots.

Any possible bug that might have appeared to make it seem as pagination wasn't working if you messed up the URL never existed in the first place, ever, in any form, and my code works out the gate every time. (a.k.a. It's been fixed)

I just noticed the More Reviews link at the bottom of the reviews! :D Well done!

Just had an On-Hiatus message and subbed back in.

Not gonna miss too much am I?

Kindler, you shouldn't have missed any. You've lost about 131 subscribers who were either bouncing or didn;t reconfirm, but they opened it in six months so...

Author emails have been confirmed to work and are going out from tomorrow. AddThis buttons are now replacing addtoany across the site, micro-reviews have now been linked (I was in there anyway, so why not?) and we've done a database amendment to deal with some books stuck in processing because of odd characters. Expect a flood tomorrow.

And am going to bed now. Do you have any more demands for tomorrow?

Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find some, and thanks for all the hard work. Would you like a lemon cake?

Virtual Jaffa cakes are more like it.

You remember the reminders feature we put on a backburner, where people could request reminders of upcoming ebooks, and the problems we had with making sure authors couldn't just put in lists who hadn't been validated? I may have found a halfway house.

For the future I'm looking at whether it can be done using the Xenforo or Mailpoet accounts, but for now you've got my proof of concept.

I saw it last night and the club had a chat. Full integration with third party calendars? Do it.

I've wired in a demo using someone else's code while I get mine done. Have a look at some of the upcoming books and let me know what you think and if it works.

The AddToCalendar bit works, and I've set myself a reminder successfully. I liked your original more though since it loaded with the page instead of popping up afterwards, and didn't have the branding on the reminder.

Everyone's a critic (kidding!) I'll fix my own this afternoon if I get a chance. I'm never too fond of third party hosted styles & scripts (their website goes down and you lose your site...) and it is easier to style my version. One warning: it will reduce you to three Calendars not five.

That's fine, and thank you for all the work.
