I didn't know I hadn't said good bye. I am so sorry to hear he has gone.

Augh, dammit. Why do I always grit in my eye looking at those pictures like that.

Six months to the day. It doesn't stop hurting really, does it?

 

What really gets me is when people say "Move on, forget" and things like that. I may be over-sensitive as I remember when my best friend of twenty years died and one of my relatives piped up afterwards with "It's been a week. Why are you still thinking about that?"

On a feline note: He had surgery in 2015. He hated the surgical collar with a passion and worked out how to undo it. So after I had retied it for the upteenth time and went into the other room for five minutes I came back out to be faced with this:

 

No Power in the 'verse is going to make me wear that damn collar...

Do you know how he did it? I thought those things were supposed to be proof against animals doing that?

 

It's that smug grin he's wearing. He really must have been a character to sit there and wait for you to come back to show off his handiwork.

Tirial, he sure is gorgeous. Do you have other pets by chance? It might be good to get another cat. Not to replace Stephen, as no kitty ever could. Just to have something new to love. Lots of cats need a good home.
