Ever since I had read I, Robot of Isaac Asimov in my younger years, I already had the ambition to be a writer of science fiction stories. All the ideas I could think of were collected in a sheet of yellow pad that later on would serve as plot for my story. However, I was kind of frustrated when I had sent more than 20 stories to Analog magazine with nothing published. That was the time I had accepted that my dream of being a sci-fi writer will not be realized.

That's the problem with traditional publishing, ain't it? It doesn't matter if the story is good, just whether its what they want to sell right now. Was that when you discovered indie presses?

Steven King. If I could write like him, I could die happy.

But when I start pitching my writings, I'll do so to more than just one outlet and I'll give it a good 5 years.
