Where do you go for web fiction?

I'm sure I've asked this before. Where do you go to find free stories online? I'm all booked out and after fanfiction web serials and fun things .

If you like SF fanfiction, and I can suggest forums without causing board wars, there's Sufficient Velocity and Space Battles. The creative writing boards there are very good, and they use Threadmarks so you can just read the stories.

We also have the new Scribblings board here, hint, hint, hint....

Subtle. And do I detect a Worm fangirl?

What kind of fanfiction do you enjoy reading most, Jessica? I've exhausted a lot of the bigger sites out there for fanfiction serials, too. I've found some great new stories and sources on the Web Fiction subreddit.

I spend a lot more of my time reading web comics instead of web fiction. There are plenty of great sites and stories out there, although I've only ever encountered one web comic which actually had a full story and was complete.

They also tend to update on a regular basis, which makes for good long term enjoyment.

I've never really read any web comics. Kindler, which one did you find that was a completed full story? I'd love to give it a read.

What kind of web fiction do you all read the most? I usually learn towards fanfiction because it's so easy to find, but I would love to find some great original web serials out there.

If you're looking for original SF ones, there's Worm, which starts great but trails off, and Killgrace which I know is getting a makeover and putting the stories online instead of just Amazon (I know because I've been asked to reskin the site...)

Oops. I've fixed my links to be generic.

I don't think I have ever tried reddit, and I did not know that they had a short stories board. I might have to have a look.

So, given your post time, and the spelling, can we assume this was posted at the pub? By your beer, perchance?

It varies a lot, but one I re-read a lot is the Serinde series:D. Its a LOTR fanfic, with a couple of abandoned spin-offs. It's at Surgicalsteelfic.
I'm kind of read-out on MLP and fanfiction.net:(.

Punch an' Pie which took place over 8 years or so although towards the end the updates were further apart. It's complete as far as it goes.

Others I've been reading include Erfworld and Order of the Stick, which are well worth a look, though it does help if you have some D&D knowledge.

If you are a Batman or DC fan, there's also Cat-tales by Chris Dee. It's over ten years old, and was written as a protest against the re-writing of catwoman as a prostitute instead of a classy cat burgler. With New-52 out, we need it more than ever.

I normally don't double post but there's a gap so I can't edit my last post. I've got notes for a couple of novels I'm never likely to finish. If I did them in Scribblings as a webserial would anyone be interested?
