It is the day to remember the Fallen.

    The un-Forgotten.

    Lest We Forget.

The day when British walk around with pins in their jacket because the poppy has fallen out...

An empty pin for an empty home in Nottingham where one who survived the Great War was killed by it anyway from the aftereffects of chlorine gas.

    Thank you great-grandfather.

    Lest we forget.

You can tell how many people forget or don't want to remember by seeing how many are still chatting away or ignoring the silence at 11am.

I wonder if it will be the same in the office on Monday.

    I hope not.

    Lest we forget

    An empty pin? Fitting.

We were children. It was so much fun for us when the sirens started, racing each other into the Morrison shelter, hiding under the table with my mother and my siblings until they stopped.

A truly wonderful game, until the house next door was bombed.

    Lest we forget.

Found a quiet place off to one side while out and about and everyone else was still wandering around shopping or waiting for the checkouts to open.
