Set in the North of England during the spring and summer of 2020, ‘Maeve and the Lockdown’ is the hilariously funny story of Maeve, an outgoing 9 year-old who loves to push the boundaries and is known as the ‘class joker’. Once school has closed on account of the ‘virus’, Maeve and her gang of friends still manage to have some fun and one ‘totally mega’ adventure. Maeve, Beckham, Reet, Amber, Char and Jack Mazzer are the stars of the book, along with a seriously nasty cat known as the ‘HORRIBLEHISSING HUMPHREY. A quirky, wacky book which 7-12 year olds and younger teenagers will love. A really entertaining read !
