I just saw the news.
I thought he'd last forever. Don't know what to think.
I feel pity for the man who saw disintegration in the family, it started with Diana getting a divorce and now Harry cutting ties with the monarchy.
It's a shock, but it isn't a surprise if you understand what I mean. He was just always there, and now he's not. All my life, all my parents' lives, all my grandparents' lives. There was something reliable about that.
I feel for the Queen, she's lost her sister, her mother, and now her husband. I hope she has a lot of support at this time.

It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.
Further announcements will be made in due course.
The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.
I shall admit, I thought that he would outlive me.
A Second World War veteran, a diplomat, and the founder of the Duke of Edinburgh award, patron of 800 charities and renowned for plain speaking. A life well and truly lived, and a most notable individual. He is a loss to the country.
It's a bit of a shock.
