Rise in Booksellers

    I know it's the Daily Mail, but the following story did make me a little bit happier with last year than I was expecting.

    The number of independent booksellers has risen for the fifth year in a row after twenty years of decline. It seems that Amazon has not managed to destroy them all, and in fact people are beginning to appreciate the humble bookshop.

    Any increase is better than no increase, so it's good to hear.

    Not seen anything local, but I'm hoping the ones I used to visit are all still running.
