Kira Langdon has had a crush on Dr. Ryan Clark almost as long as she has worked in Open Hearts Hospital. But with Kira being a nurse who worked in the E.R floor, and Ryan being one of the hospital’s top neurosurgeons, whose work rarely took him to the E.R, there hadn’t been a lot of chances for their paths to cross. Ryan barely knew who Kira was.
But all that changes when an incident involving a manic patient and his bat connecting with Kira’s leg, occurs, and Ryan was passing by the E.R at that same moment after checking on a former patient. He treats her wounds, at the same time igniting long dormant feelings in her as his hands work magic over her body. And Ryan feels it too.
With the two of them working in the same hospital, and the new change between them, Kira becomes not so unnoticeable by Ryan anymore. Kira and Ryan have to navigate their love story amidst other things.
Like finding the right solution to complex medical diagnoses and dealing with the death of beloved patients.
Also, hospital politics. Ryan is being propositioned to join the board of executives of the hospital, but he refuses because he believes the board doesn’t have the best interests of the patients and staff in heart. Ryan has to find a way to turn that all around, and he eventually does.
Will Kira and Ryan find their happy-ever-after in each other by trusting their own hearts?
