“This is seriously one of the best zombie books I have read in a long time. I know it’s a zombie book (I’m not crazy!) but the writing was intense, and just seemed so realistic. I loved the main character Bailey- she didn’t start off as some sort of guns blazing hero, but she adjusted and developed into an ass kicking zombie survivalist. I found the storyline really unique and gripping, and I just found the overall writing style and description to be really engaging and pulled me in. The gore level was creepy and perfect, and I liked the way the zombies developed slowly, and that the main characters were still walking around amid the chaos going to hospitals and trying to find an emergency shelter amid the infected people tackling regular people on the street. I could pretty much see this entire book in my head playing like a movie. This author is really imaginative, and that shows and shines through in this book.
