The Chronicles of the Chosen Undead

Book 1 – The Gifts of the Dark God

After a long period of peace, the sorcerer Radamant, in the service of the Checkrops, the three eternal demons, assassinated the emperor of Heidal, who ruled the largest realm in the world and stole the Primeval Flame.

The Checkrops descended from the God of Darkness, harnessed the source of that magical power, which the God of Light had used in ancient times to create the souls of humanity, and unleashed the plague of the undead. Now, the dead rise from their graves to hunt the living and feed on their souls. The world is in chaos as the Primeval Flame seems to be dying out. Will the breath of life that animates humanity die out with it?

At this very moment, an undead man rises, marked by a curse of rare cruelty and boundless power. He remembers nothing of his former life except his name, Rhys, which means “Chosen one” in the ancient language of the gods. The three Keras, the goddesses who control the fate of humanity, summon him to them, but not even they can decipher the secret of his curse. An ancient prophecy says that one day, an undead, the most wretched creature on earth, will decide the fate of the world.

But is Rhys this undead? And what fate will he choose for himself and the world?
