The first section is about, what is healthy lighting? The first two chapters discuss the history of light and dark cycle, how our internal systems respond to light and dark cycles, circadian rhythms etc. The chapters three to five can be considered as the second section which answers the question, What are the characteristics of the light and dark cycle?. The remaining chapters cover the how to create light and dark cycles with artificial lighting. Considering a sample house with New york latitude and longitude coordinates, sample healthy lighting designs for different areas of the home like bedroom, hall and bathroom are shown in highly visual details.
