"The English was so bad I was struggling to read it. I couldn't finish this. Check the Read Inside before you buy."
Reviewer: Reader for Bookangel.
I've been trying to learn Java for years and never got the hang of it, so if this book could teach me, it could teach anyone. It couldn't, but it had worse issues than that.
There are two links for bonus content before you even start the book and the content seems to be in an odd order. It tells you how to write your first program, before it tells you what to write it in, what packages to install, or how to run java on your computer which is in the next chapter.
By loc 77 it had become obvious that the English was not good. There were not just typos or basic grammar errors, but sentences that made no sense e.g. "manipulate around be the basic case". This is a shame because the presentation isn't bad, and it has some nicely laid out tables.
This is a short review because I did not finish the book. By loc 177, a hundred locs on, I was ready to give up. I had found myself unable to learn Java from it, and the English was so bad I was struggling to read it. I put it down shortly afterwards after finding five sentences in a row that were nonsense e.g. "I supposed to be." and "java snippet that do for us."
I'm sorry, but I couldn't finish this. Unrated, and I don't recommended it. Check the Read Inside before you buy.
