About 3 years ago, I was interested in meditation, just like you. I tried many techniques.
Almost everyone knows about focusing on breathing with closed eyes, sitting with crossed legs and hands on a chair or on the ground, playing relaxation music in the background, and trying hard to stop annoying thoughts. I did all that a few years ago, every day before sleeping.
I played my relaxation music and tried to stop thinking, but soon I was bored and fell asleep. I had no positive results. The problem was I was trying to do an impossible thing I shouldn’t be doing. I just tried to practice it because of a false belief I had.
So, I know technique is important, but if the underlying beliefs or what you expect from meditation is out of reality, it will bring no change to your life, at least, not the ones you expect. Fortunately, from one monk, I had the privilege to hear a glimpse of truth about meditation, and ever since that day, I went through an amazing journey within myself.

It was so fulfilling, life changing, and inspiring. It didn’t even feel like I was searching for something. It was effortless. After 3 years, when I look back at myself, comparing my old self and my present self, there’s a huge difference. I’m a happier person, I have peace of mind most of the time, and as days and years go by, it only magnifies, thanks to all the great people around the world from scientists to life coaches to spiritual leaders. I had no idea to write a book on this topic, but when I look at the people all around the word, I felt lots of people live in the same place I did, and I wanted to share something with the world. My journey is not over. It never will be.
