Our first seven days of user data have come back, and it has certainly been intriguing. We honestly did not have any idea how many people were hitting the site with mobiles.

Now the site is not really designed for mobiles, so we may end up making a few improvements to help the user experience. Meanwhile we thought a better gateway might help.

So, we’d like to announce The Bookangel App. Available in Android and HTML5, you can get the app free here:

It displays today’s free ebooks as a list, long term free ebooks and the latest reviews through rss, a direct link to the promoted book, and weblinks to our site, twitter, and the newsletter sign-up. The functionality is a little limited, sometimes crossing into the site itself. However it was free and we don’t have a huge (read: any) budget. Created by AppMakr, it is ad-supported, but the ads appear at the bottom of the pages, so they shouldn’t be too intrusive.

We’d be very grateful for feedback or opinions on the app, as this is a new area for us and we’d like to know what direction it should go in, what features you’d like to see etc.
