How to be a Gentleman: What Every Modern Man Needs to Know about Manners and Behaviors to Attract Women Now

...There are sections of this book which I very nearly stood up and applauded....

Going by title and cover, it is easy to dismiss this as just another self-help book. Instead it is a short concise guide on how to be a gentleman in today’s world. Cross “to attract women” from the title and this is a book I wish more men (or people in general) would read.

Somewhat disturbingly the author starts with a statement that many men hear gentleman and hear “wuss”, which is a disturbing sentiment when there’s a long history of fictional and real gentlemen who were anything but!

There are sections of this book which I very nearly stood up and applauded. While the behaviour described is basically how to be a decent human being, in the era of PUAs and others these simple steps get so often overlooked. It’s a short pamphlet, but it is one any man who wants to date – or anyone who wants to be confident without being arrogant – should read. Many of these lessons are things a parent would be expected to teach, but as a reminder it works well.

I’d recommend this book to men looking to date, make friends, or even just get some confidence, and particularly to teenagers looking at how to date. A good read.

Politeness does not equal weakness. People can be kind, honourable, and also strong. Oh, does this message need to be spread further...
