After several years behind his desk as a State Department translator in Kabul, Danny D’Amato is in need of a break. Stressed with the war, he chooses the sunshine and blue waters of Positano for his escape and, following his sister’s recommendation, brings along a journal to record his thoughts and memories to use as restorative balm when returning to the war zone.
But soon, the pages of his diary are filled with notes about the woman he met on the sunny cliffs over the Mediterranean, and his own conversion from a war-weary veteran to a man in love. In a slight few days, both he and Gaia fell in love, shared intimate details of their lives, and imagined what a future would be like together.
And then, she was gone.
After spending years looking for Gaia, while she tries to track him down and repair the reasons for the separation, the vast distance between them is finally closed… but because of something neither of them could have predicted.
