How do we feel about having good health and disease? Do we even understand good health or disease? A relationship we usually perceive as something between us and something outside of us; but do we have a relationship with our good health or disease?
Orthodox medicine sees only structures, from large structures like lumps, bumps and tubes, right down to the very small structures of cells and chemicals. It has made an intricate study of the body and has two primary parameters: ‘normality’ and ‘disease’ but does not understand good health.
Orthodox medicine can treat you, but does not know how to make you well. This book reveals the belief systems of medicine, of which orthodox medicine has become our core belief system. However no matter what treatment you get, afterwards you have to heal. In truth we have relationships with our diseases.
Aristotle, when he espoused upon the 5 senses, didn’t include pain amongst them. He saw pain as a ‘passion of the soul’; an emotion. Everything in our lives has emotional content. They create the potency of our experience of the moment. We have relationships with all things inside us as well as all things outside us. By changing the nature of that relationship, we can change our suffering.
Medicine has one opinion.
This is a second opinion
