The solar eclipse is about to begin. Three friends from the town of Sparkwood are sitting on the bridge awaiting its presence. Jay, Stella, and Chad are poking fun at the neighborhood “crazy person” Ron, as he is down below the bridge fishing with his hands. As they switch their attention back to the sun completing its blackout, they hear a scream and look back to where Ron was. All that is left is a pool of blood and guts where Ron was standing. They begin to venture back to their car to get to safety and get ahold of the police when they realize they may be the only ones left in town. That sense of loneliness is quickly shattered when they see something at the end of the bridge growling. What is worse, being all alone in town or being left with whatever it is that has taken over?
