For an EEA national to acquire permanent residence in the UK you must be in ‘lawful and continuous residence’ in the UK for 5 years. At some point in the future the protection of the right to indefinite leave to remain will likely have a cut-off date imposed.
WHAT IF for some reason your residency doesn’t comply with the requirements 100% – meaning your and your family’s lawful and continuous residence is in question during what you thought was your 5 year qualifying period?
OR WHAT IF you may be entitled to prove your qualified person status during your residency under several different categories and you pick one that causes your application to be rejected, whereas choosing the other would have made you application successful?
Is it not better to know NOW so you are able to take appropriate action to correct going forward?
This book will give you better insight into what needs to be proved so you can make the right choices before it is too late!
