5* King Fan … Excellent book for horror readers. Great storyline and characters

5* Matthew j Sidfold … Definitely recommend this. lots of twists and turns that keep the reader engaged. the characters gad depth and the plot was well thought out. liked his first book, loved this one!

5 * Nikki Hindley … A really enjoyable read – good plot, good characters, and genuinely scary in places, with no gory details spared! Great horror story, once you start reading, you don’t want to put down!

72k words supernatural horror.

Reviews…

“Another cracking novel from Mr Steen, his writing style is reminiscent of James Herbert. This is an engaging and gruesome novel that slowly reels you in and doesn’t let go. Some moments in this story are truly eye-watering. Highly recommended to any horror fan. I think Mr. Steen has a great writing career ahead of him.”

“Definitely recommend this. lots of twists and turns that keep the reader engaged. the characters gad depth and the plot was well thought out. liked his first book, loved this one!”

“Holy hell! This was horrific, but in a good way, because it feels like my soul has been sold for enjoying this.

Insanely brilliant concept of basically making deals with the devil, but you have Damian who creeps me out and still feels too real to want to defy him in real life. The way how these deals work, are also something I thought was even more tempting and very well executed.

Numerous realistic grips, very real settings and situations makes this book feel like it is your friends and family, as relatability to the characters are astoundingly well done. The details of sounds, the smells and the things around the characters throw you right in and doesn’t for a second let you step out of the world created by Steen.

I loved the nurses, this has to be stated, so there it is and that’s it.

The gore…oh, the beautiful gore was fantastic! I had shivers as I read particular scenes, but the most fantastic thing about it, is that it isn’t just one scene and then you wish there was more. This was several scenes throughout and it made me feel evil for enjoying to read them. If I may compare…imagine the goriest video game you’ve played with the blood making it look like rain and then some. It was easily the best part of the book and chapter 25’s last paragraph had me excited.”

“I really enjoyed MarkSteens book, Demons Among Us. Jamie is hero AND the Demon that occupies his body at times committing terrible crimes is the anti -hero. This was a quick read on a plane and I didn’t put it down. All parts are interesting, and I kept pulling for the goodness of Jamie to pull through over the Demon. Does he ? You will need to read it to find out. The book has several elements of emotion and it is kind of a roller coaster ride from one extreme to another, then hoping the best for the other victims. This was a page turner and written very well. I gave it a “4” because it is interesting, and fun, but not a true classic in the sense of Frankenstein, Poe’s writings, ect and I want to save one star in case I encounter one. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5. This author has talent, I believe the book is priced very reasonably, so how can you pass up a fun rainy indoors day in a more satisfying day ? I am reading the Bellmore book next, by Mark Steen, that’s how much I like his books and I am looking forward to more to come. Thank you !!”
