Going through the discipleship process can be tough. Life’s challenges, hardships, struggles, and daily distractions can become discouraging. Developing a Disciple: Book 2?a refreshing look at how to stay encouraged and remain engaged in the discipleship process?helps to keep the eyes of the heart focused on Jesus Christ. With personal examples of the author?s testimony throughout his life, it is not difficult to see how Jesus redeems and reconciles every heart that would come near to His redemptive work. The study that goes along with each story and chapter will allow the Holy Spirit to illuminate Scripture deep in the heart.
What Others Say About This Book:
Only three chapters into Developing a Disciple: Book 2, I was convicted and challenged to obey God and grow in my walk with Christ. The lessons have challenged me, as many things do, to slow down and turn off the background noise so I can hear how the Holy Spirit is guiding me. I?ve already followed up with old friends I have evangelized to see how they are doing and to reengage them in spiritual conversations. This book has also convicted me of my disregard and blocking out of the promptings the Spirit gives me.
I believe this book will significantly affect the Body as a whole. The way Greg has conveyed biblical truths is a beautiful reflection of what we find in Scripture. The lessons combine our reliance upon God and the spiritual side to have real growth and change while not neglecting our responsibility as believers to make war on the flesh and walk continually in obedience. I think this is a much-needed message!

Developing a Disciple: Book 2 is a book that not only becomes a joy to read, but also challenges your every understanding of what being a Child of God is. Every one of us has the call on our lives to the Great Commission. The book Mr. Vannatta has put together gives the reader in-depth insight into the true responsibility that is, all the while providing practical and understandable best practices to help us in the journey of sharing the good news to the world around us. All too often, the Holy Spirit’s impact on our lives is missed, swept under the rug, or just plain ignored, but not in Developing a Disciple. The Holy Spirit takes center stage as one of the main characters in our Christian faith and daily walk.
Developing a Disciple delves into the importance of knowing, building a relationship with, and recognizing and creating a solid understanding of how the Holy Spirit works in and guides our lives. Most importantly, Mr. Vannatta challenges us to not just sit on the sidelines but take an active participant role in sharing the gospel and helping the reader in that challenge by giving sound advice and recommendations on how to reach the lost while still building up our own faith and spiritual health at the same time. This is not a religious book but a guide to help one become a more powerful man of faith.
