Original Fairy Tales Spark Creativity and Open Hearts!

Once upon a time, there were two writers who lived thousands of miles apart. They started to play a game by email not knowing where it would lead. They took turns sending doodles to each other that became characters for stories. The childlike creativity that came through this playful experiment delighted the writers, as they completed each other’s paragraphs to make surprising stories. These stories are collected here to spark the creativity of children as well as the inner child of adults.

EXTENDED FAMILY stories are multidimensional with unusual characters and vibrant, extremely varied art. In some of the tales, cartoons, abstract paintings, fractals, photograph, flower or insect creatures can be found in the same story. A few of our stories have original characters from our previous book, CREATIVE COLLABORATIONS—Magic Ways to Cartoon and Tell Stories Together./

Even though the thirteen stories are fantasies, their loving and humorous solutions to the characters’ issues ring true and touch the heart:
WILDMAN-a love story with a twist

RHONDA AND THE ROBOT-A woman is liberated from the “shouds” that control her life.
LEAFBUG AND THE MAGIC FLOWER-A bug’s quest for transformation into something beautiful and free
LALA AND THE SHOEMAKER-A flighty woman comes down to earth
EXTENDED FAMILY-A lonely man seeks a home on a different planet
LUCIDUS AND THE DREAM-A homeless dream seeks someone brave enough to awaken
CORA AND THE WISE OLD WOMAN-a young woman is shown her inner beauty
UPA’S PARALLEL UNIVERSE-a boy liberates himself from 3D reality
OHNO, ZIPPA AND THE SOCKS-freedom is brought to the workplace
MRS. BLUE AND THE IBERYNX -a housewife finds her true voice
MESSYMAN AND THE GRYPHON-an underdog finds his inner strength

DOTTY AND THE JESTER-A woman learns to laugh
AFTER ALL-A parallel reality where beings of all forms and dimensions communicate and exchange gifts.
Welcome to our world of collaboration and unlimited creative possibilities. We hope our fairy tales will inspire you to write and illustrate your own magical tales of transformation and healing.
