FUSION
In the darkness of a Monaco night a young woman is murdered with a bullet through her head. An event witnessed by Charles Gardner, a retired surveillance expert who alerts the authorities. However, his efforts are ridiculed and worse, he is now targeted by powerful people who seek to silence him.
He needs to run, yet old habits die hard. Charles plants a bug on the luxury yacht where the woman met her end, a reckless and naive act perhaps. But what this gambit reveals is as shocking as it is audacious, a plot involving the massive ITER fusion experiment as it prepares for its inaugural test. Hundreds of lives are now in danger.
He has only one hope, Inspector Madelaine Duchamp, the only person in Monaco who still regards him as possibly telling the truth. He must find her and he must convince her of this threat. And if he fails, then what? Pursued by menace and hunted by deadly micro-drones, what can one man do when the only weapon he has any skill with is his mind… and he may be loosing that too.
From the glamor of Monte Carlo to back streets of Algiers, from the rolling hills of Provence to the desolation of the lunar surface. FUSION: Ignition in T minus 36 hours…
