Jake and Maya are insecure about their relationship. Maya devises a plan to test Jake’s love for her, by using her police chief dad, who happens to have informants working with the Sinaloa Cartel.
When the game of playing both sides of the police and cartel collapse, they are forced on the run. The two meet a mysterious acquaintance of the police chief who seems to want to help.
During their travels they unearth the root causes of their insecurities and develop a bold plan to rescue their derailed lives.
