Devastated by the loss of both of her beloved parents, eighteen year old Margaret Wentworth is given more bad news, she is destitute and must leave her London home to live with relatives she has never met. James Cunningham, fifth son of the Duke of Sommerville, is traveling between clients and London, when he meets Meg under duress.
