Join me on my adventures since being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis on Christmas Eve 2012 and forcing my retirement as a school teacher at the age of 49. This set in motion a personal quest to live life to the full and be an inspiration to my four children before my progressive condition got the better of me.
I will take you on a hot air balloon safari in Africa, to a school for orphans in the Himalayas, white-water rafting in Scotland and along the Mekong River in Vietnam. I will describe what it is like, despite my disability, to jump out of an aeroplane at 12,000 feet and sail a 67′ yacht called ‘Oceans of Hope’ across the Bay of Biscay.
Hopefully, my adventures, thoughts and photographs taken along the way will light the touch paper for you to set yourself a new challenge, after all,
“In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” Abraham Lincoln
