Wounded in France during the Great War, Mark Blaine returns to Boston in 1919 to recuperate and prepare to re-enter Harvard College. An urgent plea for help from a beautiful woman proves far more attractive than studying history, so Mark agrees to return to France to learn the fate of the woman?s brother, a fellow soldier. Mark quickly discovers that not everyone in the Old World wants the past brought to light.
