Imagine a world where everyone had enough self-care. Let’s broaden the thought of self-care beyond manis and pedis. Think if everyone had enough self-nourishment, time to take care of their basic needs; physical, mental, and emotional. What would our world look like? What if we set aside time for morning routines, time to spend with those we love? When making a living, what happens to having a life?
Are you the type of person that works all day, goes home for a few hours to be with family, sleeps, then does the work all over again? Are you a stay at home worker and yet still you are constantly moving and doing something? Are you an entrepreneur that loves their work so much, there is little time for anything else? This workbook challenges you to take a pause, look at life from a system level and see what can be done differently to serve you and in turn, serve those around you.
I have to believe that if we all had enough mental, emotional, and physical self-care, the world would be a different place. Less war, more peace. When you have all your basic needs met, you are more present with the world around you – less in your head, more in your body.
Self-care entails consciously taking steps and making choices to preserve, enhance, or re-establish one’s physical, mental, emotional, and social health and well-being. It revolves around prioritizing actions and behaviors that foster overall health and vitality while mitigating the impacts of stress, burnout, and fatigue.
It’s important to note that self-care is a personalized concept, unique and different for everyone, and its scope can encompass a wide array of activities, from daily routines that are deliberate and purposeful practices to taking a mental health day when needed and doing something great for you.

Maybe you are on your own self-care or self-healing journey, just trying to find answers like I was. I stumble and fell for years down rabbit holes trying to find the right method to help me with my own mental health, my own emotional wellbeing. As a trauma survivor, I was hyper vigilant in finding solutions that often left me more tired than when I began. I wanted to heal from past memories that haunted me. I wanted to boost my confidence, up self-esteem. I wanted to feel beautiful and proud of the person I looked at in the mirror. When I started prioritizing my own needs, I found I was more available for others and when I found methods and methodologies that worked, I realized that this was my calling. I wanted to support others in their empowerment, self-care, and self-healing. For over 23 years in my field, I have coached and worked to change lives in positive ways. Much of the knowledge and skills that were obtained can be found here un this workbook!
