So, after ten years as a driving instructor, I thought I would share some of the most interesting, funny, sad and also rewarding moments of the last decade.
Driving instructing is a rollercoaster of emotions with the highest of highs and lowest of lows, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Thomas A Fox

After ten years as a driving instructor, the author shares a few notes on his experiences and students.
Don't look for tales of cars in the harbour, although certain students do inspire gritted-teeth repetitions of "calm, blue, ocean". I'd have loved these to be a bit more fleshed out, particularly the tale of Tracey at the end. What gave her difficulty? Where there any funny moments during training? etc. What we get feels like the bare-bones of a story.
While there's nothing bad about it, all the good things come with a but. For example, it's well written but short, and might make a good coffee break read. It's humorous but not laugh out loud funny.
I liked it, but it didn't make much of an impression. If you get it as a light undemanding read though, it is an OK way to pass the time. Rating:3
