After trying many fad diets, I found the greatest results from the zone diet. As a full-time working mother of 2, I had my doubts about starting the zone diet. The measurements and prep work was overwhelming. I have been a member of my local Crossfit gym for 3 years, and continue to strive to become stronger and healthier. This past year, I joined several members of my gym in a 30-day zone diet nutrition challenge. For 30 days, I strictly followed a 15-block zone diet plan in addition to my 4-5 day a week Crossfit regimen. I’m by far not the strongest athlete at my gym. I am just an everyday mom looking to stay in shape and be better equipped to handle the normal stresses of parenting and working a full-time job. However, you will see how nutrition plays a key role in reaching body composition goals. I got to a point where I felt like I should look and feel better with the work I was putting in at the gym. I kept a daily blog each day of the challenge. There I logged every meal along the way, along with some insight on how I prepped and balanced a normal life along the way. After receiving a lot of positive feedback from friends, I decided to turn my blog into an e-book so I could share with others looking to try the zone diet. I post before and after pictures, detailed goals and results, as well as measurements of all of my meals.
