The true Crown-of-Thorns is discovered. Embedded on a broken thorn is found a tiny piece of mummified skin. After months of soul-searching a wealthy man decides to attempt to clone Christ from that piece of skin.
Unsettling things happen in the laboratory, and afterwards, to those involved in the experiment. The wealthy man spirals down into a nightmare world from which there is no escape.
But over the concluding part of the book, for millions living in an increasingly sceptical world, there is a flood of happiness and hope that Christ does indeed exist.
