Clancy Johnson is living the life every boy dreams of in 1960 Tolemac, Kansas. His family runs a farm on the outskirts of town and he is being groomed to take over one day; following the teachings of his Mennonite faith. Life is pretty simple for Clancy; graduate high school, get married, have kids, and raise his family on the farm. There is just one thing. He forgot to ask life what it had planned for him. Clancy makes decisions along his life’s journey that will destroy his plans and the lives of everyone dear to him. Is it fate, karma, or an evil spell which causes his life to unravel? Who knows? What we do know is that Clancy’s life is doomed before it even really begins.
