What is a Sadhu? A Sadhu is a seeker of Truth; someone who is doing Sadhana (Spiritual seeking or pursuit). In ancient India it was customary for people to take to Sanyasa (Renunciation) in the 3rd stage of life when their children were big enough to handle the family and business. Sanyasa is preparation for Samadhi (Salvation), the final stage of any living creature on Earth.
‘Man does not live on bread alone but by the Word of God.’ I did not have to go to the Himalayas to find a real Yogi. I found a Samadhi (Tomb) of a Great Yogi and Saint right here in the town where I was born and have been fascinated by him ever since then. When he renounced this great Yogi swore that he would never beg. He literally conquered hunger, sleep and breathe; yet lived over 100 years without food for the last part of his life.
