The door rapped again and Becky’s heart leapt almost clean out of her young bear chest when she finally realized it was only her dear high school friend, Jessica Burdell, of whom was currently employed as a local police officer living in the more urban area of downtown. She forced a welcoming smile to her tender cougar compadre before releasing a steadying sigh, as she slapped paws with her jovially and invited her inside.
“Jesus Christ, Jessica.” She mused, as Jessica removed her sandals and steadily planted her self on the velvet upholstery sectional. “You more than damn near gave me a heart attack. How all would you like your coffee?”
