Deep in the Guatemalan jungle, a mystery lurks. UFOs have been sighted over the highlands, and terrifying assassins with supernatural powers are said to stalk the villas and plantations of the rich. Drug cartels have joined with separatist guerillas to declare that the ancient Mayan kings will return to overthrow the government and establish a new realm – a kingdom that will stretch from the underworld to the heavens.
Alex Harvey and his team have tracked down alien infiltrators across half the world, but they’ve never encountered anything like this. Looking for evidence of the extraterrestrial Xeen and their minions, they are instead confronted by a dazzling array of myths, rumours and half truths. Faced with corrupt officials in the towns and cartel guerillas in the jungle, X-Troop will need more than military skill and superhuman implants to execute this mission.
