A short story set in the not-so-distant future when utopia isn’t quite what it seems.
Ben was perfect.
His girlfriend Rachel was perfect.
His apartment was perfect.
In fact, everything in the world around him was perfect – thanks to the omnipresence of the beneficent Guardians.
So, why was it that Ben felt that he just wasn’t part of the world he inhabited? Why did the idea of ‘imperfect’ seem so attractive to him?
Could he change things so that at least a little imperfection existed in the impeccably managed society around him?
To find out what less-than-perfection meant, he’d need to match his wits against the titanic intellects of the Guardians and hope to win. It was a challenge he was determined to take on against all the odds.
Of course, even if Ben managed to achieve imperfection, would it yield the result he hoped for?
