Arianne Tawnison is a journalist but never once imagines investigating a murder, but this is exactly what happens when she hears that her lifelong best friend has been murdered in the South of France. The journal is coded for secrecy but reveals her suspicions that she was being watched. It became clear that her arrogant yet captivating friend had been truly afraid for her life. Spurred on by her friend’s faith in her, Arianne travels to France meeting up with Mark Adams, the art agent who had represented September. He is immediately welcoming and kind, Arianne is drawn to him instantly but, she is convinced he is hiding something from her. Does he know more about September’s death than he is letting on?
