ANNOUNCEMENT – We have made arrangements with a local newspaper to show 3-5 of our reviews per month. With a readership estimated at 45,000, we hope this will give books a chance to reach new readers. This will be running as a trial in the Feb, Mar and Apr issues, but depending on how well it is received we may extend it.
The reviews will be micro reviews of 50-150 words per title, and we’re going to focus on books that got 4 or above to hopefully bring some attention to good but overlooked small press and indie titles. To qualify the book must have a positive review on the Bookangel site, be by a British author or appeal to a British audience, and be available in the UK
To cover layout costs for the trial, while most of these reviews will be chosen by us we will offer a guaranteed spot per month that authors can book with one caveat: the book must already qualify, and you can only book one spot. (Sorry, we don’t sell reviews). If you are interested, please contact us.
If you have not been reviewed, but think your book would interest the readers, then please also get in touch. If we agree, then we will need to get a free copy of your book to review by the 5th of the month before the column goes in. We may decline to review it for any reason and preference will be given to short works. If we chose to review it, please note we do not guarantee a positive review, or that the review will be in the column.
