...R may be a great language, but this book is not a good resource to learn it from. ...
I have never coded R. I have never heard of R. And with sentences like “R language initially can emerge real intimidating.” this book is not going to help.
The English is extremely poor throughout. I’m not even going to touch on the grammar, and the word use verges on incomprehensible. The book is also not very good at selling why someone should choose R as a language to program in. The only thing R has that stands out in the text is a set of inbuilt graphing functions, and apart from that it doesn’t seem to have any real advantage over Java or PHP.
R may be a great language, but this book is not a good resource to learn it from.

Too complex for beginners, and too light for experts, I'm not sure who this was targeted at. However it gets a few points for the useful windows7 password tip at the end.

While this ebook does what it describes, this requires more technical knowledge than a beginner may possess and the odd english, typos, and broken code lines, make it a confusing read.

I'm not really a programmer, and this doesn't sound like a good place to start. :(

Hmmm... well thankfully I just used online tutorials and a course on udemy to learn the language. Most people don't know that R comes with an inbuilt "tutorial" library that will guide you through the whole process. The only thing you need to know is how Matrices work in Mathematics. And even that is not hard to understand. I can't remember why I learned it though, since I haven't used it since.

I can never put myself through the excruciating pain of reading a book that is badly written and I'm certainly not doing it now. If the language and the grammar are bad, then it's a pass from me!
