...It might not have wide appeal outside its intended audience, but fans of the slasher genre should check this out....

A rock band trapped in their rehearsal room hear odd music from the room next door. Then they find an odd note left and hear the clack of hard-soled shoes on concrete…

Expect bad language, heavy bass and graphic violence. This is good old-fashioned slasher horror, with an unstoppable, unexplainable, monster and its terrified trapped victims. It hits most of the slasher tropes on the way through, but it does them well. The writing is clear, the action well-described and easy to follow, and the formating has no issues.

There really isn’t much else to say without spoiling it, but this book is definitely written in the style of the B-movies (and it would make a good one).

It might not have wide appeal, but fans of the slasher genre should check this out.

  • A Murder of Crones
anyone who enjoys good writing should give it a look, but horror, paranormal, fantasy and modern fairytale fans will adore it. For a real treat get this and the Secret Dead and read them back to back.
  • Old World (Green and Pleasant Land)
Horror fans will love it, it is a hell of a ride. Others should approach with caution. Good taste, decency, and cutting away at the last moment, are totally absent.
  • The Loch
a fairly standard entry into the Monster/horror genre, but might be of interest to anyone trying to get a feel for the author's writing.
