An invitation to death.

Maggie Burtright invites you to

Welcome

Maggie Burtright to America

Saturday at 7 pm.

Barbecue, cake and fireworks

Everyone’s welcome

Tennessee Wilson may be new in town, but she’s interested when she finds the invitation on her kitchen counter. Why has she receives the same strange invitation as everyone else in Rushwater? But who wants to miss a chance to see fireworks? Almost the entire town shows up to take in an evening of dancing, fireworks, and death. And Tennessee is happy to dance with the handsome Heath Powers. But then the fireworks are over and a woman lies dead.

The puzzle begins when Tennessee discovers there are two Maggie Burtrights and the wrong one is dead. Or so it seems. Will Maggie’s boyfriend Andre be able to shed some light on the situation? Before they can find out another death is discovered.

Captain Ariel Seaworthy of the Vermont Bureau of Criminal Investigation is in Rushwater again on a double murder, and she’s happy to use Tennessee’s expertise as a Professor of Criminal Psychology. There have been a strange series of murders in this little town and Ariel can use all the help she can get to figure out what’s been going on. Why is murder in the air? She will find out, and she has a leading expert to assist her.

There are so many questions: Why are there two Maggie Burtrights? Who threw a kitchen glove in the pond? Why are there two identical weapons? What was a deer hunter doing out at night? Where did the deadly chocolate come from? And why does the living Maggie Burtright fear for her life? The two women fight an invisible adversary to discover the truth before anyone else must die.

While Tennessee and Captain Seaworthy rush to discover the truth, one question remains: why must Jealousy Kill?
